That’s totally OK! It’s a very human thing—to stay in our comfort zones. But at some point, we desire our lives to move forward in a meaningful way. We want to get unstuck and make things happen.
Breaking free of the holding pattern can feel overwhelming. So many decisions need to be made and steps taken that it can feel complicated.
Fully Commit Yourself
Imagine you’ve been stuck in a bunch of ways—you’re not exercising or eating well, clutter is building up, there’s a big project you’ve been wanting to do for years but keep putting off, and your finances are a bit of a mess. It’s intimidating. But then you decide to fully commit yourself to your biggest project. You make a commitment to others and to yourself to get it done. You set up focus sessions every weekday and weekly accountability. You show up with full commitment.
All of a sudden, from this one big commitment, you start to move forward. You feel courageous, you’re taking action, and you can feel the energy of progress.
As things progress, you build more confidence and willingness to face discomfort and take action. So you begin to exercise, and it feels good—your body feels better. You now have the energy to tackle your clutter—a little bit every weekend.
There’s a snowball effect. You start eating healthier and getting more sleep. You tackle your finances, getting them in order.
You are aware that as life goes there will be ongoing work to do—but you’re now willing to take the challenge and really live.
All this from taking that first leap of fully committing yourself to one thing. You know there is always a way once you commit to it.
