Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has been hospitalized after suffering an allergic reaction.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin told NTD, The Epoch Times’ sister outlet, that she was transported to the hospital earlier Tuesday, and is on track for a full recovery.

“Secretary Noem had an allergic reaction today. She was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution. She is alert and recovering,” McLaughlin said.

It’s unclear what triggered the incident, and few other details were provided.

Bruce LeVell, a senior advisor to President Donald Trump, wished Noem the best.

“My dear friend @Sec_Noem ... was just rushed to the hospital. My heart is with her during this challenging time, but I know her strength and determination will shine through. Please join me in keeping Kristi in your prayers for a swift and full recovery,” LeVell wrote in a post on X.

“She has been tirelessly spearheading [President Donald Trump’s] initiative to uphold law and order and utilize [the Immigration and Customs Enforcement] to keep our country safe from criminals. Let’s stand strong for her, just as she’s stood strong for America.”

This is a developing story and will be updated.
