Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele proposed an agreement that would swap gang members deported by the United States with opponents of the Venezuelan regime.

The senator said he would try to arrange a phone call between the deported Salvadoran and his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura.

Authorities inside the country and from abroad have all said that there were no irregularities in the presidential election run off, which was held on April 13.
