The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on June 27 that it had eliminated one of the founders of Hamas and two key Hezbollah terrorists over the past two days.

The IDF confirmed that one of the founders of Hamas and the current head of combat support headquarters in Hamas’s military wing, Hakham Muhammad Issa Al-Issa, was eliminated in the Sabra area of Gaza City on June 27 during a joint activity with the Israeli Security Agency.

“Issa played a significant role in the planning and execution of the brutal October 7th massacre,” the IDF stated. ”Throughout the war, and over the past few days, Issa served as Head of the Combat Support Headquarters, and advanced aerial and naval terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip.”

Issa was one of the last senior Hamas terrorists remaining in the Gaza Strip who held a high-ranking position before the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

The IDF reaffirmed its commitment to working with the Israeli Security Agency to find and eliminate all of the terrorists from the various organizations that played a part in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack.

It also confirmed that on June 28, it eliminated Hezbollah terrorists Abbas Al-Hassan Wahbi and Hassan Muhammad Hammoudi.

Wahbi, the IDF stated, was a terrorist “responsible for intelligence in Hezbollah’s ‘Radwan Force’ Battalion,” who was eliminated near Mahrouna in southern Lebanon.

“The terrorist was involved in efforts to rebuild Hezbollah and weapons transfers,” the IDF explained. ”These activities constitute a blatant violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”

Hammoudi was “responsible for Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile array in the Bint Jbeil sector,” directing multiple anti-tank missile attacks toward Israel. He was eliminated near Kounine, Lebanon.

News of the strikes was released as Israel returns its main military focus to wiping out Hamas, rescuing all of the remaining hostages in the Gaza Strip, and defeating Hezbollah in southern Lebanon after the 12-day war with Iran ended with a major strike by U.S. forces and a cease-fire.

“Iran has taken a heavy blow,” IDF Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir said on June 27.  “There is a possibility that the strike on Iran will advance our objectives in Gaza.

We will continue to act with determination in order to achieve the two main objectives of the war—the return of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas,” he added.
