Netanyahu Says Hezbollah Tried to Assassinate Him Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called a drone strike on his northern Israel home an assassination attempt by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah, saying it was a “grave mistake” and vowing that the perpetrators would pay a “heavy price.”
The apparent assassination attempt of a sitting Israeli prime minister by an Iranian proxy is a rare escalation, possibly signaling a willingness by Tehran’s allies to engage in more aggressive cross-border actions.
The drone targeted Netanyahu’s residence in the coastal town of Caesarea on Oct. 19, while the premier and his wife were away, according to his spokesman. The attack, for which no group claimed immediate responsibility, resulted in no casualties. Earlier, the Israeli military reported that a drone had been launched from Lebanon and struck a building, though the exact target remained unclear. The military added that two additional drones that crossed into Israeli airspace were successfully intercepted. Continue reading› |
China’s Food Agenda China produces over half of all U.S. agrochemical imports. In 2013, multiple Chinese nationals were indicted for stealing this type of sensitive information. “We had Chinese nationals that were coming out at night digging up the pure parent lines of the seed that we were producing on our farm.” Watch the full episode here› |
How to Remove Fluoride From Your Water When Grand Rapids, Michigan, became the first city to add fluoride to its water supply in 1945, it was hailed as a major public health innovation aimed at preventing cavities. Many other cities quickly followed suit, and water fluoridation became a widespread practice nationwide.
Today, with fluoride easily accessible in toothpaste and mouthwash, its added value in drinking water has been called into question. A review from the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews found that fluoridated water reduces tooth decay by only a tiny amount—about a quarter of a tooth surface—raising doubts about its effectiveness.
Growing evidence suggests fluoride may pose risks beyond our teeth, affecting thyroid health, cognitive development, and more. Our own Sheramy Tsai shares tips on how to remove fluoride from your water—and your life. How did you enjoy today's Morning Brief? Tell us what you think here. |
