RFK Jr. Loses Secret Service Protection Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will no longer receive Secret Service protection after suspending his campaign and endorsing former President Donald Trump. “Mr. Kennedy no longer has USSS protection,” Kennedy’s press secretary, Stefanie Spear, told The Epoch Times on Aug. 25. Secret Service chief of communications Anthony Guglielmi told The Epoch Times on Aug. 25 that Kennedy “is no longer a protectee given he suspended his campaign.” Kennedy was denied Secret Service protection five times before the Department of Homeland Security granted it shortly after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on July 13. Following the attack, Trump said that Kennedy should “immediately” get Secret Service protection. It’s standard procedure for the Secret Service to end protection when a presidential candidate drops out of the race. Kennedy said that he has suspended his campaign in 10 battleground states but will be on the ballot in the other 40 states. Read the full story here› |
Honey Added to Yogurt Boosts Probiotic Effect Some food combinations are better than others, and in the case of honey a yogurt it’s a case of 1 + 1 = 3. Researchers in the clinical trial noted that earlier studies have indicated probiotics can reduce intestinal transit time, which may help relieve constipation and other gastrointestinal symptoms. Some research also suggests probiotics may boost cognition and mood, such as a 2013 clinical trial that found they may improve memory and a 2019 clinical trial that linked them to less depression and anxiety. California Handyman Finds Way to Get Rid of Squatters Squatting is a widespread problem, says Flash Shelton, a handyman and anti-squatting activist from Northern California. But he says he’s found a solution. Shelton said he successfully got his mother’s house back from a group of squatters in 2019. He has since turned his experience into a career, helping others facing similar situations. Shelton said that in 2019 after his father passed away, he moved his mother into his home. However, when they tried to sell her house, he discovered that a group of people had broken in and taken over. After contacting law enforcement, he learned that since the squatters had moved in with furniture to make it appear they lived there, it was considered a civil matter rather than a criminal one, leaving the authorities unable to act. Instead of enduring the lengthy eviction process, Shelton found a “backdoor” solution: becoming a squatter in his mother’s house to oust the squatters.
