The next administration will be likely pro-tariff. The conversation has shifted from whether tariffs are necessary to how they can best be implemented.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Unveiled on Sept. 6, the proposed legislation would extend federal funding through late March of next year while mandating that states verify U.S. citizenship during the voter registration process. Democrats swiftly condemned the proposal.

The proposed law requires people to provide proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a passport, birth certificate, or military ID, when registering to vote in federal elections. China Admits Operating on Organ Harvesting Victim

The first known survivor of China’s state-run forced organ harvesting regime recently went public with his story in Washington. In response, the Chinese regime admitted to operating on the man without his consent—supposedly to save his life.

Peiming Cheng, who was imprisoned for 8 years and brutally tortured for practicing Falun Gong, was forced to undergo surgery in November 2004. He woke up with a foot-long scar across his side. Subsequent comprehensive medical examinations revealed he was missing a large part of his liver and a portion of his left lung.

Our colleague, Jan Jekielek, spoke to international human rights lawyer David Matas about the significance of the case and what’s next. Watch the full interview here›
