Harris Defends Shifting Policies In a high-stakes interview on Thursday night, Vice President Kamala Harris defended her shifting policies on the border and fracking and faced tough questions about the economy and the Israel-Hamas war. CNN’s Dana Bash asked Harris about recent shifts in policy after she supported initiatives like Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and a ban on fracking during her 2019 presidential campaign. “Let's be clear, my values have not changed,” Harris said. “I made that clear on the debate stage in 2020 that I would not ban fracking. One of the two studies also showed that mice who consumed a high-salt diet also had reduced tumor sizes as a result. “We were very surprised to see that salt instead improved their vigor, metabolism, and killing function and that this also reduced tumor growth in [the] mouse model,” Dr. Christina Zielinski, lead author of one of the studies, told The Epoch Times in an email. While research suggests a salt-based approach could become a valuable tool for enhancing cancer treatments, the researchers said in a press statement that they don’t recommend eating more salt in humans to activate the immune response against cancer.
