The United States has developed a strategy to disrupt China’s communist regime if it tries to take Taiwan by force. This is now being described as a “Hellscape” strategy, and one that would involve classified capabilities as well as thousands of unmanned vehicles—including drones, submarines, and surface craft. Its aim would be to delay the CCP long enough for the United States and its allies to arrive, and could drag the Chinese regime into a drawn-out war similar to what Russia now finds itself fighting in Ukraine.
