| Doctors Back Falun Gong Protection Act Thirty-four physicians from the United States and Brazil signed a declaration in favor of the Falun Gong Protection Act. Currently in the U.S. Senate after a companion bill already passed a House vote in June, the bill aims to impose sanctions on individuals involved in the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) forced organ harvesting campaign against Falun Gong practitioners in China. The international doctors’ declaration came during the third annual World Medical Congress for Life in São Paulo. The event, which took place from Sept. 6 to 8, was held in partnership with the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC). It was attended by doctors, health professionals, and journalists. The Falun Gong Protection Act would make it U.S. policy to avoid cooperation with China in the organ transplantation field. | | Learning From America's Best | | Jeremy Adams has spent nearly 25 years teaching high school civics, where he encourage students to embrace lessons from American history. His new book, "Lessons in Liberty: Thirty Rules for Living From Ten Extraordinary Americans," draws from this experience and focuses on the positive influence of great figures from U.S. history.
Adams argues that we should learn from the best America has to offer, from Americans who overcame adversity to lead meaningful lives. He highlights 10 figures, including George Washington, Clara Barton, and Arthur Ashe, who each exemplify key traits like determination, virtue, and forthrightness.
By studying these leaders, readers can draw a roadmap for their own lives and learn how to endure hardships and triumph over challenges. The book rejects modern educational trends that dwell on negativity. Instead, it encourages a celebration of America’s rich heritage.
